Alicia and Edward’s wedding day at The Henry Ford Museum in Dearborn was nothing short of remarkable—a perfect blend of history, elegance, and heartfelt moments. This venue, created by the Ford family, stands as a tribute to innovation and American heritage. Originally founded by Henry Ford himself, the museum celebrates the spirit of progress with exhibits showcasing the first era of car manufacturing, including Ford’s iconic Model T and other groundbreaking inventions that shaped the modern world. Surrounded by such legacy, it felt fitting that Alicia and Edward began their own new chapter in a place built on timeless craftsmanship and vision.
I’ve had the joy of knowing this family for years—back in 2019 I photographed Edward’s sister’s wedding, and I’ve continued to capture their family photos every year since. Seeing familiar faces and watching this family grow made the day even more meaningful.
After getting ready, Alicia and Edward shared a beautiful first look in the Virginia Courtyard, a quiet, romantic setting framed by brick archways and greenery. From there, we explored the museum grounds for portraits—one of my favorite locations being the Clocktower stairs, a stunning architectural replica of Independence Hall in Philadelphia. The classic backdrop and warm lighting made for timeless portraits that truly reflect the charm of the venue.
Their ceremony was short and sweet, but full of emotion. As Alicia and Edward reached the end of the aisle, they paused for a picture-perfect kiss that felt straight out of a movie. After family photos, the energy shifted toward celebration as everyone gathered for the grand entrance and reception.
And of course—the first dance beneath the 1939 Douglas DC-3 airplane is one of the most iconic sights you can experience at The Henry Ford Museum. The soft lighting and sweeping metal wings overhead created an atmosphere that’s both dramatic and romantic. It’s one of those rare photo moments that will always stand out in their album.
Alicia and Edward, thank you for trusting me to capture your incredible day. It was truly special reconnecting with your family and documenting such a beautiful celebration. Your wedding at The Henry Ford Museum was a perfect reflection of history, love, and lasting connection.
