After just chatting on the phone, I finally got to meet Emily and Shelby in person on Saturday for their wedding day! The day started with Shelby at their home in Dowagiac, Michigan. While she was getting ready I was able to meet Leo, their very photogenic cat. I then headed over to Emily to get some of her makeup photos and details like her dress and accessories. Have I said that I love when my couples do a first look? Emily and Shelby did just that and it was so good. You can truly see the love between the two of them! The ceremony was at the same location Emily got ready at…her parents back yard! One of my favorite aspects of the property was the vineyard surrounding the grounds. I took full advantage of it too. After the ceremony we went to a few locations…one of them was where Emily and Shelby met; SouthWestern Michigan College. We showed up there, went to the building and the first set of doors was open, then the second…locked. We did some photos just inside the building and around the campus. We then headed to the reception at the American Legion Post 85 in Berrien Springs, Michigan. I had an absolute blast with Emily and Shelby. Comment below which photo is YOUR favorite!
