Erin and George’s June 27, 2026 wedding at St. John’s Resort was such a beautiful and meaningful day to photograph. I actually had the honor of working with Erin’s family in the past when I photographed her sister’s wedding back in 2017, so it meant a lot to be remembered and asked to capture Erin’s wedding day all these years later.

The entire wedding day took place at St. John’s Resort, which made everything feel seamless from start to finish. The day began with Erin and the girls getting ready upstairs in the hotel, while Tracey photographed George and the guys as they got ready for the big day. Erin wore a stunning wedding dress from The Wedding Shoppe in Berkley, Michigan, and George looked great in his tux from Todd’s Menswear in Royal Oak, Michigan.

Once everyone was ready for the day to officially begin, we headed down by the waterfalls for Erin and George’s first look. The grounds around St. John’s Resort are absolutely gorgeous, with waterfalls, fountains, colorful flowers, and beautiful scenery surrounding the entire venue. I have always loved first looks because they give us the opportunity to photograph the bride and groom, bridal party, and family portraits before the ceremony. It also gives the couple more time after the ceremony to talk with guests and actually enjoy cocktail hour.

Erin and George’s ceremony took place inside Saints Mary & Joseph Chapel at St. John’s Resort. The ceremony lasted about 45 minutes and was beautiful from start to finish. Afterward, we took some additional photos inside the chapel before heading down to The Atrium, which in my opinion is the best room at St. John’s Resort.

Their reception started with a grand entrance that perfectly showed off Erin and George’s team spirit. Erin wore a custom Detroit Tigers jersey, while George came in wearing a custom Pittsburgh Steelers jersey and carrying a custom Terrible Towel. It was such a fun and personal way to kick off the celebration.

Before dinner, Erin and George cut their wedding cake, a beautiful tiered cake from Bella e Dolce in Commerce, Michigan. After dinner, they shared their first dance, followed by parent dances and a night full of celebration. We ended the evening with Erin throwing her bouquet and George putting his own spin on the tradition by throwing a football.

Overall, Erin and George’s wedding was such a fun day to photograph. St. John’s Resort was the perfect setting, the day was filled with personal touches, and it was great seeing this wonderful family again. Congratulations, Erin and George!
