On September 13, 2025, Kate and Jason celebrated their love with family and friends at the stunning Addison Oaks Buhl Estate in Leonard, Michigan. From the moment I arrived, I knew it would be a day filled with laughter, love, and timeless memories.
We began the morning with Kate getting ready in the bridal suite. Without a doubt, it’s my favorite bridal suite in Metro Detroit—filled with gorgeous natural light and space that makes for dreamy, intimate moments. Kate’s excitement and joy set the perfect tone for the day. Soon after, Jason began getting ready, preparing for one of my favorite parts of any wedding day: the first look.
The first look between Kate and Jason was a truly heartfelt moment—just the two of them sharing a quiet pause before the celebrations began. Addison Oaks is a photographer’s dream, and we took full advantage of the breathtaking grounds. From the historic estate architecture to the manicured gardens, everywhere you turn is a perfect backdrop for portraits. After capturing their portraits, we moved seamlessly into family photos, surrounded by so much love and support.
The ceremony was intimate and beautifully simple. With loved ones gathered close, Kate and Jason exchanged vows that were as genuine as their love. It was short, sweet, and filled with emotion—exactly how they wanted it.
Once the ceremony ended, it was time to celebrate! The grand entrance flowed right into cake cutting and then their first dance as husband and wife. Every guest was smiling as Kate and Jason shared that moment, and I don’t think there was a dry eye in the room.
I don’t say this lightly: Addison Oaks’ buffet is one of the best in Metro Detroit. Guests raved about the food, and I have to agree—it was delicious from start to finish.
Throughout the entire day, it was impossible not to notice the way Kate and Jason looked at each other. Whether it was Jason’s quiet tear during the vows or the way Kate’s eyes lit up when she glanced at him, their love was undeniable. These are the kinds of moments that remind me why I love documenting weddings so much.
Thank you, Kate and Jason, for letting me be a small part of such a big day. Your love is inspiring, and I know your journey together is just beginning.
