Kayla & Parker’s Engagement Session at The Lafayette Grande

Some sessions are just magic from the moment we start—and Kayla and Parker’s engagement shoot at The Lafayette Grande in Pontiac, Michigan, was one of those.

We kicked things off indoors with the venue’s iconic winding staircase. There’s something timeless and elegant about that staircase, and it made the perfect backdrop for capturing the excitement and love between these two. From there, we explored the charming Pontiac Room, where we found a wall of vintage hubcaps that added such a cool, unexpected vibe to the shoot. It was the perfect contrast—classic romance meets industrial flair.

The Lafayette Grande, nestled right in the heart of downtown Pontiac, is full of character and history. Its ornate details and rich textures made it a dream location for this shoot.

As the light shifted, we stepped outside to take advantage of the building’s grand entrance—complete with those unforgettable teal lion statues. Bold, unique, and a little whimsical—just like Kayla and Parker. Every photo captured their playful chemistry and the excitement they share as they count down the days to their New Year’s wedding.

Speaking of which—these engagement photos are just the beginning. Kayla and Parker will be saying “I do” later this year at the beautiful Addison Oaks Buel Estates in Leonard, Michigan, and I can’t wait to document the next chapter of their love story there.
