Where do I start…I have known Beth, Madison’s mom since the 6th grade! We graduated high school together…flash forward 25 years and some how we have graduating kids! We are still trying to figure out how we all have kids graduating! They need to stop growing up. For years I was told I was going to be photographing Madison’s senior photos, that day has finally came.
I love when clients drive almost 1.5 hours to have me photograph their seniors. They drove from Jackson to downtown Detroit! This session was so fun and they gave me full control of the locations and poses. It kinda helps that Madison had a beautiful smile and those braids!
One thing that Madison loves are books. You will most likely see her with a book in her hand. After thinking how I could incorporate her love for books I came up with John K. King Used and Rare Books. It has that nostalgic old book smell that you might remember when you were young. They are very accommodating about using the store. If you are ever in the downtown area, check them out.
After the book store we headed to Parkers Alley and around the Z Lot Parking Garage. So many different looks you can get around this small area. The colors and textures make for some very unique photos. Check out the rooftop photos from the Z Lot Parking Garage. The blue glass mirrors behind Madison were some of my favorites from her session!
Which photos are your favorite? Comment below, I would love to hear what you think!
I am John Richmond of John Richmond Photography. I have had the honor to photograph over 950 weddings in my 20 years as a professional wedding photographer. I love to photograph beautiful-souled people having the time of their lives.
I love them all! But I am biased. My favorite is sitting in the bookstore and the lit book picture.. Her personality shines
That one is a misterious look. I like the close up of the uneven brick. They all nice really nice. Hard to pick !
Wow these are beautiful photos! Congratulations Madison 😊
