I first met Sam at the 2Gather Bridal Show and we instantly clicked! She booked on the spot and the rest was history. Sam and Jon’s wedding was absolutely beautiful. The day started with Sam getting ready in the bridal suite (one of my favorites in metro Detroit). Then I switched over to Jon getting his suit on and then I took him outside to get ready for the first look. I got Jon set up and then had Sam come out to see her soon to be husband! I love when couples do first looks, it makes the day go so much smoother. We went all around the venue, there are so many excellent spots to use. We then did the bridal party photos, family photos and then got ready for the ceremony. You could see the love between Sam and Jon during the ceremony as they read their vows and exchanged rings. One thing that Sam and I talked about during our first time meeting each other was how she wanted to do some baseball inspired photos at the field across the street from the venue. They hopped on my tailgate of my truck and I drove them over to the field! It was the highlight of the day. The surprise of the day was Sam dancing with her day…it started out like a traditional dance then they broke out into a fun dance that he had to learn in a few days! The last thing I knew Sam and Jon wanted was some sunset photos. Since there was no sunset, I “faked” the sun with the use of flash and an orange gel. You would never know it wasn’t real…ha!
