June 24, 2026
June 12, 2026, was a beautiful day celebrating Sarah and Corey as they officially became husband and wife. It was an honor for our team at John Richmond Photography to be there to document every moment of their wedding day.
The day began at the beautiful Royal Park Hotel in Rochester, Michigan, where I spent the morning photographing Sarah as she got ready with her closest friends and family. There is always something special about those quiet moments before the ceremony—the excitement, anticipation, and all the little details coming together. Sarah looked absolutely stunning as she prepared for one of the biggest days of her life.
Meanwhile, my associate photographer, Tracey, was with Corey documenting his morning preparations. Corey got ready at a unique location that featured a golf simulator, which made for some fun and memorable photos before the ceremony.
Once everyone was ready, we headed to St. John’s Lutheran Church for the wedding ceremony. Before walking down the aisle, Sarah shared a heartfelt first look with her dad. These father-daughter moments are always some of my favorites to photograph because they are filled with genuine emotion and often become some of the most treasured images from the day.
The ceremony itself was beautiful and filled with love as family and friends gathered to witness Sarah and Corey exchange vows and begin their new chapter together.
After the ceremony, we made our way to The Myth for the reception festivities. Before heading inside, we took the bridal party to a really cool bridge nearby for some fun and creative portraits. The location provided an incredible backdrop and gave us the opportunity to capture some amazing photos with the entire wedding party.
Once the bridal party photos were finished, everyone returned to The Myth while Sarah and Corey stayed behind for portraits together. These moments away from the crowd allow couples to slow down, enjoy a few quiet moments together, and create some of the most meaningful images of the day.
One thing I always love as a photographer is when couples transition directly from their grand entrance into their first dance. Sarah and Corey did exactly that, creating an incredible flow to the reception and setting the tone for a memorable evening. Their first dance was a beautiful moment that immediately brought everyone together and kicked off the celebration.
Following dinner, we captured the parent dances before the dance floor officially opened up for the night. Friends and family filled the dance floor and celebrated alongside the newlyweds, creating an energetic and joyful atmosphere that lasted throughout the evening.
Sarah and Corey’s wedding day was filled with beautiful moments, meaningful connections, and plenty of laughter. We are so grateful they trusted us to document such an important chapter in their lives.
Sarah and Corey, thank you for allowing us to be part of your wedding day. It was truly a pleasure celebrating with you, and we wish you both a lifetime of happiness, love, and unforgettable memories together.
