I knew this wedding was going to be filled with laughter and fun when I booked Gabby and Kyle’s wedding over a year ago. This was my first time ever at Ellis Barn in Davisburg, Michigan. Crazy since I have almost photographed 1000 weddings. The day started with Kyle and the guys getting ready and then I transitioned to Gabby and the girls getting ready. We then did private vows and then a first for me was having Gabby and Kyle come around the corner for their first look! It was an amazing experience and I will be definitely doing this again. I always take 30 minutes or so with just the bride and groom before we bring over the bridal party. Once we finished up Gabby and Kyle’s photos we started with the bridal party…man everyone was getting “ICED”. You could tell everyone was relaxed and just having a good time, which makes for amazing photos. Another great thing about first looks is it allows for the family portraits to be done before the ceremony and that gives the bride and groom time to mingle during cocktail hour and greet their guests. The ceremony was short and sweet and I love that Gabby and Kyle stopped during the recessional and did a beautiful dip. Once the ceremony finished up we did the grand entrance and then toasts. After dinner Gabby and Kyle cut the cake and then we snuck out for some sunset shots before the dancing begun. The night ended with the formal dances and everyone dancing the night away.
I had so much fun photographing Gabby and Kyle’s wedding! I am so happy with the photos, let them know what photos are your favorite by commenting below.
