Do you know how many times I have came down to Belle Isle to the fountain and it’s not on…so frustrating. But today was going to be a great day! The fountain was on!!! We started on Belle Isle so we could get their family photo with Bentley (white dog), Mowgli (black with white chest) and Oakley (black dog). I was impressed, they were able to get themselves plus 3 big dogs and a friend all in a Jeep Compass. When the sun hits the water on the fountain, it makes for some beautiful images. I also going to the north side of the island to get some Detroit city scape photos. After getting the images on the island we had to pivot from the downtown location I originally wanted to use because of the Detroit Marathon that is ran through the heart of downtown Detroit. We ended up going down to Columbia Street, next to the Fox Theater. This street has been blocked off from traffic for outdoor eating and shopping. It also has these amazing old gold turn-style doors that are one of my favorite locations in Detroit. Also, check out the photos with the red and brick walls. It’s right outside the Sahara Restaurant.

Mackenzie and Dillan are planning a May 2024 wedding at Birchwood Meadow in Ohio. It is a new venue and I am looking forward to photographing their wedding.
